Positioning Self: Career Year One is a coaching program that supports early career professionals as they navigate their first year in a permanent position to:

  • Confidently climb the initial steps of their career ladder

  • Lay a robust foundation for future success

MONTH 1-3: ESTABLISH YOUR FOUNDATION & IMPACT

  • Definine Your Role & Expectations: Clarify responsibilities, understand organizational culture, and proactively manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Build Credibility & Trust: Strategies for making a strong first impression, demonstrating value, and earning respect.

  • Effective Communication & Collaboration: Master workplace communication, active listening, and successful teamwork dynamics.

  • Time Management & Productivity: Optimize your workflow, prioritize tasks, and avoid burnout in a demanding environment.

MONTH 4-6: NAVIGATE WORKPLACE DYNAMICS & RELATIONSHIPS

  • Build Your Internal Network: Identify key allies, mentors, and sponsors within your organization.

  • Feedback Mastery: Give and receive constructive feedback effectively for personal and professional growth.

  • Navigate Difficult Conversations: Strategies for addressing conflict, setting boundaries, and advocating for yourself professionally.

  • Understand Organizational Politics: Learn to navigate power structures and influence decisions positively.

MONTH 7-9: ENHANCE PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & VISIBILITY

  • Project Management Fundamentals: Effectively plan, execute, and deliver on projects.

  • Personal Branding & Professional Presence: Cultivate a strong professional image, online and offline.

  • Set Meaningful Career Goals: Definine short-term and long-term aspirations aligned with your values.

  • Identify Growth Opportunities: Proactively seek out development assignments and learning experiences.

  • Performance Review Preparation: Strategically approach your first performance review for optimal outcomes.

  • Leverage Your First Year for Future Success: Consolidate learnings and map out your next career moves.

Participant Eligibility

The program is for early career professionals who:

  • Are in their first year of a permanent, full-time or part-time position.

  • Are committed to proactive career development and growth.

  • Seek to build confidence, enhance their professional skills, and accelerate their impact.

  • Value a supportive community for shared learning and accountability.

Program Offering
